Engineer / Technician Design (m/f/d)

About the Role

Schirmer Maschinen GmbH is searching for a motivated Engineer / Technician in design (m/f/d) to join their team. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial concept through to production readiness, addressing customer-specific requirements alongside deadline, quality, and cost considerations. The role involves performing calculations, simulations, and creating technical drawings using CAD and similar software tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing standard modules and customizing them according to client needs.
• Designing necessary special solutions.
• Innovating and further developing profile processing solutions.
• Creating comprehensive layout plans for production lines.
• Coordinating closely with electrical design teams.
• Supporting assembly and commissioning processes with constructive input.

Candidate Profile

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or advanced training as a mechanical technician.
• Proficient understanding of CAD (Inventor), PDM, and ERP systems.
• Strong technical insight, especially in technical mechanics.
• Preferably some prior experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrates creativity, initiative, and commitment to quality.
