Overview
The position requires a seasoned Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional with 8 to 10 years of experience, particularly familiar with EHS standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across Utilities, Process, or Construction sectors.
Educational Qualifications
Essential: A Diploma or Degree in any Engineering discipline accompanied by an Advanced Diploma or Post Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by the State Technical Education Board (TEB), or a B.Tech/Master's degree in Industrial Safety Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
Desirable: Certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or IOSH.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee implementation of Environment, Health & Safety policies, programs, and procedures.
- Ensure workforce training on applicable safety laws, regulations, hazard monitoring, and proper usage of safety equipment.
- Identify and mitigate unsafe practices and conditions through regular audits and inspections.
- Ensure continual maintenance of firefighting gear, personal protective equipment, and related safety instruments.
- Promote health and safety awareness throughout all organizational levels.
- Monitor adherence to EHS legal obligations and report outcomes to the Incident Command Head.
- Coordinate training sessions for safety personnel covering first aid, CPR, accident prevention, investigative procedures, workplace inspections, and other safety implementations.
Key Deliverables
- Maintain "Zero Tolerance" policy and achieve accident-free man-hours.
- Conduct EHS training sessions and workshops.
- Ensure strict compliance with SOPs and EHS manuals.
- Manage comprehensive documentation to support EHS audits.
- Serve as liaison with clients and consultants regarding EHS-related issues.
