About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Channel Manager to lead our ecommerce transformation and growth trajectory in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for identifying emerging online channels, driving business development, and ensuring efficient operations in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your goal is to create a profitable, future-proof ecommerce ecosystem aligned with marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the ecommerce transformation strategy and growth plan.
- Discover and capitalize on new and upcoming ecommerce platforms to boost business profitability.
- Select key customers and re-engineer processes to enhance system efficiency.
- Establish comprehensive review systems and analyze diverse MIS data for actionable insights and planning.
- Collaborate with partners across product portfolio management, content strategy, promotional campaigns, and commercial investments integrating full funnel strategies.
- Enhance productivity through better execution and expand reach within untapped etailers.
- Develop promotional and assortment strategies based on competitive analysis and industry trends.
- Shape SKU focus, ensuring alignment with relevant departments like marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales.
- Drive improvement in key ecommerce metrics such as unique visitors, conversion rates, average order value, and customer loyalty through targeted initiatives.
- Review sales systems within etailers’ distribution network and streamline standardization and optimization.
- Advise the management team on omnichannel commerce strategies to secure a sustainable future for the organization.
- Lead omnichannel growth and strategy specifically within the Saudi Arabian market.
- Foster robust communication and teamwork by regularly updating stakeholders and driving ecommerce skill enhancement throughout the company.
- Ensure timely rollout of key initiatives with senior management backing, adherence to schedules, application of pilot learnings, and achievement of sales, profit, and market share objectives.
- Maintain strong working relationships with major ecommerce players, including pure online retailers and brick-and-mortar retailers with ecommerce arms.
- Keep product masters up to date across ecommerce platforms with accurate descriptions, images, and recommended selling prices.
- Manage online loyalty programs alongside ecommerce retailers’ teams.
- Coordinate support plans for key ecommerce sites in line with annual marketing goals and digital marketing activities.
- Align performance marketing integration across the marketing funnel and lead event activations.
- Ensure product launches are synchronized online and offline for maximum impact and timely listing on ecommerce platforms.
- Handle assigned commercial and marketing budgets, including forecasting and inventory planning focused on fast-moving products.
- Conduct market visits and research jointly with senior sales and supply chain managers to stay updated on retail trends.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university focusing on Sales, Digital, or Brand Marketing.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in sales and marketing within FMCG sectors.
- Proven success in growing ecommerce business or category management experience with leading ecommerce retailers.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and decisive problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with international outlook and adaptability.
- Experience managing large-scale projects involving significant organizational change.
