Job description
Overview
As a Document Controller reporting to the Lead Document Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing document control tasks that align with company standards. This position supports the company's expansion and diversification efforts while ensuring compliance across various projects and departments.
Key Duties
- Receive, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents according to established protocols.
- Create transmittals for proper document dissemination.
- Support tender and RFQ collation and distribution within the tender software module.
- Provide updates and progress reports related to documentation status.
- Accelerate document review and approval workflows.
- Work collaboratively with different departments and external suppliers to gather, review, and update relevant documents.
- Train and educate personnel continuously on the Document Management System functionalities.
- Assist team members with system-related issues, document creation, and procedural queries.
- Ensure adherence to document management best practices and standards.
- Engage directly with vendors, fabricators, and contractors as part of document management processes.

Candidate Profile
- Between two and five years of experience in document control roles.
- Familiarity with cloud-based project document management systems; experience with Aconex is favorable.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, with advanced skills in Excel and Word considered an advantage.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of the mining and construction sectors.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Comfortable managing a varied workload and strong at time management, with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
