About the Role

You will join a pharmacy team within one of our stores as a Dispenser, playing a vital part in supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and efficient pharmacy and health services.

In this healthcare department role, your focus will be on developing strong relationships with patients, actively listening to and understanding their needs. Your duties will include greeting customers, accurately dispensing prescriptions, ensuring medicines are safely sold, and offering knowledgeable advice to enable patients to make informed health and wellness choices — allowing you to make a positive impact every day.

This position is based in-store in the UK only; remote applications or those from outside the UK will not be considered unless UK qualifications and right to work are verified.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions, ensuring safe medication supply through tasks such as ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to support the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Offer advice and care to patients about medicines, referring queries to the Pharmacist when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures for safe and lawful prescription dispensing.
• Stay informed about new store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
• Assist patients in managing their prescriptions effectively by providing reliable repeat services and promoting medicine adherence to reduce waste.

You will also engage with evolving in-store technologies that enhance traditional dispensing practices, improving patient safety and freeing more time to care for patients.

Regular training and updates will keep your healthcare knowledge current, alongside various career progression opportunities, including pathways to become a Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles within the store.

Requirements

• Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification (or equivalent) or current pursuit with completion of the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Valid right to work in the UK; sponsorship via Skilled Worker Visa is not available for this role.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior community pharmacy experience.
