Overview

The Director of Learning & Development at HSO US is responsible for leading comprehensive talent development initiatives, performance and leadership development strategies, and career progression programs. This role closely collaborates with HR Business Partners, business heads, global talent and AI enablement teams, and HR leadership to synchronize people strategies with business goals across all service lines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a forward-thinking learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs.
  • Design and implement scalable training programs covering technical, professional, leadership, and role-specific growth.
  • Coordinate closely with internal academies, subject matter experts, business leaders, and vendors to deliver impactful training experiences.
  • Manage the HSO US Masterclass curriculum, including scheduling, trainer coordination, facilitator preparation, and ensuring program quality and cohesion.
  • Provide timely access to relevant learning materials supporting career advancement and organizational priorities.
  • Regularly update learning pathways based on feedback, business evolution, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to educate employees on career frameworks and competency models guiding growth and promotions.
  • Refine the performance management process by overseeing goal setting, evaluations, calibration, and manager enablement to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Guide HRBPs and managers through performance review cycles ensuring clarity and accountability.
  • Identify top talent and skill gaps to initiate targeted development such as mentoring and stretch assignments.
  • Advocate for performance practices that nurture growth, accountability, recognition, and meaningful feedback.
  • Develop career pathways to facilitate employee growth and internal mobility.

  • Include AI capability expectations within core talent and workforce management processes.
  • Develop metrics to measure effectiveness of learning, talent development, performance management, leadership programs, and AI capabilities.
  • Monitor relevant data such as training completion, performance, engagement, retention, and AI proficiency.
  • Provide detailed reports on program impacts and return on investment.
  • Continuously refine programs based on feedback, trends, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to mandatory training and facilitate policy rollouts.

  • Demonstrated success in establishing and delivering learning strategies, leadership programs, career development resources, and scalable training aligned with business goals.
  • Extensive experience managing performance management, including goal-setting, reviews, calibration, talent development, and coaching for managers.
  • Proven capability in talent review, succession planning, high-potential identification, and development planning.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring HRBPs, L&D, or HR teams.
  • Background in professional services organizations, preferably consulting, technology services, systems integration, or as Microsoft partners.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft channel and technologies such as Dynamics 365, Data & AI, Power Platform, Azure.
  • Strong partnership and communication skills with senior leaders to align talent and workforce priorities.
  • Analytical approach using data and metrics for program assessment and enhancement.
  • Experience with performance management systems required; prior use of PerformYard is advantageous.
