Core job duties

• Deliver orders by car to customers within the assigned delivery zone.
• Handle phone orders and communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Prepare products, operate store equipment, and keep the work area organized.
• Restock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, the prep area, and the walk-in cooler.
• Take inventory and complete the required paperwork.
• Clean equipment and maintain the store on a regular basis.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Driving record must meet company safety standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• Should be able to read maps, find addresses, and navigate the delivery area efficiently.
• Must be comfortable delivering to homes, multi-storey buildings, and other locations with difficult access.
• Needs the ability to follow written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic quickly and accurately, including giving correct change.
• Should be able to take orders over the phone and through a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Must be able to work in changing weather, hot and cold conditions, cramped spaces, and around food-related fumes, dust, sharp edges, and moving equipment.
• Should be able to stand for long periods, walk short distances, climb stairs, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and perform repetitive tasks.

Training and work conditions

Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. The role includes both inside-store tasks and delivery work, and may require driving at night as well as navigating adverse weather and terrain.

Physical demands

• Most work is done while standing, with some walking and sitting for paperwork.
• Deliveries may involve carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work may include pushing loaded dollies, climbing stairs, bending at the waist, crouching, squatting, and reaching in multiple directions.
• Some deliveries may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
• Tasks may involve handling hot and cold surfaces and working around ovens and other equipment.

Additional information

This is a fast-moving role that may involve several deliveries per shift. Team members may use tools such as telephones, calculators, computers, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, pizza peels, pens, and pencils.
