Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisement by linking technical expertise with business domain knowledge to resolve complex problems and drive growth.
• Support team members by removing obstacles and steering solution delivery within demanding deadlines without compromising quality.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing data science and AI team, promoting technical excellence and continuous professional development.
• Drive innovative research and integration of cutting-edge methodologies into production solutions.
• Define and influence organizational data strategies and practices for maximizing long-term benefits.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of impactful projects, from conceptualization through deployment, ensuring that business objectives are met.
• Communicate and set a clear technical vision aligned with company strategy and stakeholder goals.
• Establish technical standards and review designs to maintain project quality.
• Lead experimentation and model validation using advanced techniques to ensure alignment with business KPIs.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, and scalability of machine learning and generative AI systems, ensuring governance and reliability at scale.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Big Data, AI, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or statistical modeling including at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, experimental design, and specialized machine learning/deep learning domains such as recommendation systems, time series analysis, NLP, and AI agents.
• A proven history of leading high-impact projects end-to-end with responsibility for business outcomes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to steer technical strategy in line with business priorities.
• Experience in team growth and mentorship, setting technical benchmarks, and ensuring product sustainability.
• Successful management of machine learning/deep learning model deployment and scaling, including real-time and streaming environments.
• Proficiency in defining strategies and leading cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and scale large language model based applications.
• Advanced SQL skills capable of architecting, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex queries and large-scale data pipelines.

Preferred Experience

• Domain expertise in marketplaces, delivery services, or logistics technology to augment data science methods with practical business knowledge.
