Role Overview
The Data Centre Relationship Manager will engage closely with data centre owners, operators, consultants, EPCs, and other significant market participants to cultivate trusted partnerships, enhance EPSA’s visibility in the rapidly expanding Australian data centre sector, and supply valuable industry insights.
You will act as a vital liaison connecting the data centre ecosystem with EPSA, ensuring up-to-date awareness of upcoming projects, market trends, and customer needs. This role collaborates cross-functionally with sales, engineering, project delivery, bidding, and service teams to aid customer engagement, strengthen industry ties, and provide market intelligence to inform EPSA’s strategic initiatives. The position is available in Sydney (Eastern Creek), Melbourne (Mulgrave HQ), or Brisbane (Heathwood).
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture enduring partnerships with data centre operators, consultants, EPCs, packagers, and key sector stakeholders nationally.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of the data centre market, staying informed of emerging projects, trends, and customer priorities.
- Maintain precise account mappings and track opportunities using Salesforce to keep a clear overview of stakeholder and market activity.
- Represent EPSA at relevant industry functions, client meetings, and networking events to bolster market presence.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, providing customer insights, market intelligence, and relationship support throughout project lifecycles.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate combines solid technical expertise with a people-focused, cooperative approach.
- Proven experience in account management, customer success, technical account management, industry engagement, or roles centered on relationship building.
- Strong ability to establish trust and build relationships with stakeholders across various levels.
- Competence in collecting, analyzing, and communicating market intelligence and customer insights.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and engagement skills.
- Detail-oriented with experience in maintaining accurate CRM data and customer records.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity with the data centre industry, critical infrastructure, power generation, engineering, construction, or mission-critical sectors.
- Knowledge of data centre design, construction, or operations.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, technical, business fields or similar.
- Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM systems.
- Existing professional connections within the Australian data centre market.
