Role overview

Avery Products Corporation is hiring a Data Analyst to support its data warehouse and reporting operations. The position centers on protecting the accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of business data used by teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Operations, and IT. The person in this role will investigate reporting and data issues, help develop reports, and work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to turn data into useful insights for decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily operational and analytical support for the enterprise data warehouse environment.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to design, build, and validate standard and ad hoc reports using Hyperion and related tools.
• Carry out data imports, validation, reconciliation, and analysis to confirm consistency across the data warehouse, ERP, and other source systems.
• Support ETL and data loading activities by spotting anomalies, checking whether loads completed successfully, and partnering with developers to fix issues.
• Record data definitions, report specifications, and source-to-target mappings to support transparency and governance.
• Help automate recurring reports and data extracts to improve efficiency.
• Translate business reporting needs into data models or dashboards while ensuring solutions follow company standards.
• Investigate data mismatches raised by business users and coordinate root-cause analysis with the data warehouse support team.
• Protect confidential data and follow data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with internal IT work such as system upgrades, data migrations, and implementation of new analytics tools.

Required background

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data warehouse support; manufacturing or ERP experience is preferred.
• Practical experience with SQL, data validation, and reporting tools such as Oracle APEX, Oracle Hyperion, Crystal Reports, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouse concepts like star schema, dimensions, and facts, and relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.
• Understanding of ERP data structures and Oracle Hyperion reporting is an added advantage.
• Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables, formulas, and data connections.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools similar to Oracle APEX.
• Knowledge of data reconciliation and master data management concepts.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with close attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills for working with business and technical teams.
• Ownership mindset, accountability, and a proactive approach to deliverables.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, multi-department environment.

Preferred experience

Experience supporting multiple data sources in a manufacturing or supply chain environment, such as Glovia and Hyperion, is preferred. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and corporate reporting standards is also beneficial.

Work environment and conditions

This is a hybrid position based in Brea, California, combining on-site and remote work. The schedule follows standard office hours, with occasional after-hours support needed during data refresh cycles or system upgrades.
