Role Overview
Buckland is hiring an Intermediate Customs Account Analyst to support customs release processing for imported goods, including document preparation, coordination, and related administrative work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver responsive, high-quality service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Manage customs clearance issues such as rejection notices, eManifest discrepancies, paper-based packages, and RMD corrections.
- Prepare customs paperwork, complete entries, and handle invoicing tasks.
- Research tariffs, perform classification work, and enter import and export data accurately.
- Complete final invoicing of customs entries to CBSA within required timelines.
- Use Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook effectively in daily work.
- Work carefully and make sound decisions while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy.
- Stay productive in a fast-moving environment and keep priorities moving forward.
- Maintain an organized calendar to manage meetings, tasks, and upcoming initiatives.
- Respond to questions and resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
What You Need
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- At least 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or logistics.
- Working knowledge of FTAs and PGAs.
- Intermediate familiarity with the LVS program.
- Intermediate-level MS Office skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Experience completing complex entries.
- Must be legally authorized to work for the company at all times.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel occasionally to offices in Canada, the US, or Mexico if needed.
