About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work practices and handle emergency protocols, including lifting safety, area cleanliness, evacuations, register downtimes, emergency codes, and theft prevention.
• Address concerns from customers and associates, offering appropriate guidance and support.
• Supervise front-end team members for adequate shift coverage, coordinate breaks, and assist with registers as needed.
• Train associates on system usage, company policies, scanning accuracy, productivity, discounts, electronic article surveillance (EAS), and safety procedures.
• Oversee purchase, return, and exchange processes, correcting errors, approving transactions, and ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
• Ensure the EAS system operates correctly, managing cashier deactivation and greeter interventions, and maintain failure logs.
• Prepare registers for daily opening and closing, support cashiers by providing change, monitor cash levels, and perform audits to ensure register accuracy.
• Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, protection plans, charity initiatives, and discount schemes.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.55 (also stated in French: Le taux horaire minimum pour ce poste débute à 18.55).
