About the Role
The Walt Disney Studios Creative Marketing team is seeking an enthusiastic and imaginative intern to assist in designing promotional campaigns for both theatrical and streaming releases. This position provides immersive, practical experience contributing to comprehensive 360-degree marketing campaigns.
As a Creative Advertising Intern, you will join a skilled team comprising marketers, producers, and creative directors who oversee the development of trailers, TV commercials, digital and social media content, print advertising, and innovative experiential campaigns.
This internship offers a thorough insight into how a major studio strategically markets its films and content worldwide, along with chances to share your creative ideas during brainstorming sessions. The internship period is September 2026 through December 2026, reporting directly to the Director of Creative Advertising.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage creative assets by tracking, organizing, and routing marketing materials through review and approval processes to ensure smooth project flow.
- Support design and print duties including assisting with presentation layouts, adjusting files, and preparing Keynote and PowerPoint decks for internal and filmmaker meetings.
- Coordinate audiovisual content distribution securely, manage agency deliverables, and ensure timely accessibility of campaign assets for various teams.
- Conduct market and competitor research to analyze industry trends and promotional strategies that can enhance marketing efforts.
- Participate actively in creative brainstorming sessions, contribute concepts, attend agency discussions, gather feedback, and help coordinate creative revisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies to maintain brand consistency, streamline communication, and align creative materials with campaign objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with print and audiovisual marketing assets.
- Proficient with presentation software such as Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides with a strong understanding of visual storytelling.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs like Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication skills to clearly convey creative ideas and collaborate with diverse teams.
- A passion for film, television, pop culture, and the entertainment industry is highly preferred.
- Prior involvement in student films, marketing initiatives, creative writing, or managing social media in campus organizations is considered advantageous.
Education
- Preference given to senior-year students.
- Majors or coursework in Art, Marketing, Communications, Cinema/Television/Media Studies, Graphic Design, or related disciplines are relevant.
Eligibility and Program Details
- Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, taking at least one course at the time of application, or currently enrolled in a Disney College or Internship program.
- Current Disney program participants are limited to a total of 12 months of combined internship and program work.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- Interns should maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
- The internship runs approximately from August 2026 to December 2026.
- The position requires onsite availability four days a week (Monday through Thursday), with Fridays remote but flexible onsite work if necessary.
- Housing arrangements must be independently secured in Burbank, CA, for the internship duration.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an hourly wage of $22.50 in California. Selected benefits might include medical, financial, and other perks depending on position level and eligibility.
