Role Overview

The Courier is responsible for the pickup and delivery of customer packages according to daily schedules. This role requires problem-solving on the road and maintaining package tracking through scanning procedures.

Workplace Details

• Location: 225 Heather Drive, Dryden, ON P8N 3G2
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours
• Shift: Variable based on operational needs requiring open availability
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Pay Rate: $22.18 per hour in accordance with the collective agreement

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver packages to meet daily schedules
• Scan packages and mail at receipt, delivery, or return to the depot
• Collaborate with Dispatch and customers to resolve on-route issues
• Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after trips utilizing electronic tools for recording

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma completion
• Completion of relevant vocational training
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• A minimum of three years driving experience with a clean driver’s record

Required Skills

• Experience in domestic shipping
• Knowledge of courier service operations
• Competency in shipping and receiving processes

Additional Details

• No language requirements for this position
• Reports to the Unit Manager
• Working conditions primarily on the road
