Role Overview
The Coordinator, Staff Care and Well-being supports the global Staff Care & Well-being team by enhancing operational foundations, learning mechanisms, and coordination efforts to ensure consistent support for staff. This role centers on workflow coordination, managing knowledge systems, monitoring and reporting, and strengthening communication across global, regional, and national levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate workflows, schedules, and deliverables for the staff care team to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor progress and follow up timely on pending tasks.
- Support budget oversight and prepare operational reports.
- Maintain and organize shared knowledge platforms, tools, templates, and guidance for easy accessibility.
- Create and circulate internal communications including updates, briefs, and learning notes.
- Collect, compile, and analyze monitoring data consistent with the Staff Care Theory of Change.
- Identify trends and feedback to document lessons learned and contribute to reporting processes.
- Facilitate information sharing between global, regional, and national teams to maintain alignment.
- Organize webinars, learning exchanges, and consultations to enhance staff care practices.
- Capture insights from the field to inform planning and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- At least five years of experience in coordination, project management, communications, or operational support roles.
- A background in administration, project management, organizational development, communication, or related disciplines.
- Professional training in project coordination or knowledge management is advantageous.
- Experience working within complex international organizations.
- Proficiency in managing knowledge systems and basic data tracking.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of staff care, employee well-being, and humanitarian operational contexts is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation, and learning functions is desirable.
- Competence with digital collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Click-up, PowerBI, and dashboards.
- Capability to adapt and perform effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments, managing multiple priorities with resilience and composure.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and an aptitude for critical thinking and innovation.
- Experience working in regional or national offices, understanding complex systems, competing demands, and bandwidth constraints.
- Enjoys enhancing workflows by clarifying processes, organizing data, closing loops, and ensuring dependable follow-through.
Travel and Work Environment
- Anticipated travel up to 20% based on organizational guidelines.
- Willingness to work beyond standard business hours occasionally, sometimes in challenging and hazardous environments.
Additional Information
This position is based in Ghana and requires onsite presence. The role is focused on supporting and coordinating staff care activities, not counseling. Candidates should be committed to fostering dignity and sustainability in workplace conditions where staff can perform effectively.
