Coordinator - Loss Prevention

Position Overview

This role involves monitoring security systems including CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety equipment to identify unusual activities or emergencies and ensure proper response and documentation. The coordinator will assist guests and employees in emergency situations, administer first aid and CPR when necessary, and maintain confidentiality of all security and loss prevention reports and documentation. Investigations related to theft, fraud, lost items, complaints about noise, assault, food safety, and other guest incidents are also part of the responsibilities.

Key Duties

• Monitor surveillance and alarm systems for suspicious behavior or emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
• Support guests and employees during critical incidents and provide medical aid such as first aid and CPR.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all security records and share information only with authorized parties.
• Manage documentation for employees requiring medical treatment outside the facility.
• Conduct thorough investigations into theft, fraud, complaints, and incidents, gathering necessary evidence.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers about liability situations following prescribed procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, report unsafe conditions and incidents, and safeguard company assets and proprietary information.
• Provide courteous and professional guest interactions, anticipate needs, and respond effectively using clear communication etiquette.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues to achieve team objectives and address concerns respectfully.
• Perform physical activities including inspecting equipment, moving objects, navigating constrained or challenging environments, and maintaining readiness for various operational demands.
• Fulfill additional reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of some college education is preferred.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in loss prevention or security.
• No prior supervisory experience is required.
• Must hold valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
