Role Overview

The Commis I Pastry position involves preparing and artfully presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked treats to ensure exceptional guest experiences, while contributing to the goals of the pastry department.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, baking, and plating of pastry and dessert items.
• Maintain consistent freshness and quality of products served.
• Keep the pastry kitchen clean and organized, adhering strictly to food safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory management, order supplies as needed, and minimize food waste.
• Collaborate with senior chefs on developing new pastry and dessert creations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong passion and creativity for pastry, desserts, and delivering excellent customer service.
• Capability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring top-quality standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Possession of a diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry & Bakery is beneficial.
• Previous experience in similar roles within hotels or upscale pastry kitchens is preferred.
