Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients including portioning, chopping, washing, peeling fresh produce.
• Weigh, measure, mix ingredients; cook food items using stoves, ovens, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test the doneness of food to ensure proper cooking.
• Monitor and uphold high-quality food standards during preparation.
• Set up and break down kitchen workstations; serve correct food portions on designated receptacles.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and confirm appliance and food temperature correctness.
• Adhere strictly to safety and security policies, report hazards, accidents, or maintenance needs.
• Wear clean and professional uniforms; safeguard company information and assets.
• Communicate professionally, collaborate with team members to achieve common objectives.
• Physically able to stand, sit, walk extended periods, perform bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
• Minimum of one year relevant work experience in food preparation or culinary roles.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
