CNC Programmer

Role Overview

We are searching for a proficient CNC Programmer specializing in turning operations to develop, modify, and enhance CNC machine instructions for precise manufacturing. The ideal candidate will interpret detailed engineering drawings, select optimal tooling, and uphold quality standards while promoting safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine CNC programs utilizing G-code and M-code.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and technical details accurately.
• Configure CNC machines and validate program correctness prior to production runs.
• Choose appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• Perform trial operations and resolve programming or machining challenges.
• Use measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges to verify dimensional precision.
• Enhance cycle times without compromising product quality.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams.
• Keep detailed documentation of program versions and revisions.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and implement 5S organizational practices.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive expertise in CNC programming including G-code and M-code.
• Experience operating CNC Turning, Vertical Machining Center (VMC), Horizontal Machining Center (HMC), or Milling machines.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, Edgecam, PowerMill, NX, or equivalents.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledgeable in cutting tool selection and machining processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Basic proficiency with computers.

Educational Background and Experience

• Diploma, ITI, Bachelor of Engineering, or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Tool & Die making, or closely related disciplines.
• Certification in CNC Programming or CAD/CAM technologies is beneficial.
• Open to professionals with 0 to 3 years of relevant CNC programming experience.
