Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to provide expert clinical leadership and facilitate the ongoing development and excellence of our Musculoskeletal (MSK) services across the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne regions. While this position is primarily full-time, we will consider part-time arrangements for a suitable candidate. Applicants must reside in Hawkes Bay. This role does not entail direct people management but focuses on offering clinical expertise, mentoring, and professional leadership throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Regional and National Clinical Leaders to advance Habit Health’s MSK service offerings.
- Provide clinical mentorship and support to a multidisciplinary team comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain an active clinical caseload delivering thorough assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for clients experiencing musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
- Champion evidence-based clinical practices to ensure the highest standards of professional service delivery.
- Promote clinical excellence through activities such as case reviews, peer mentorship, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, referrers, ACC, employers, and other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to innovation and initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes, service delivery, and overall operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for achieving outstanding musculoskeletal rehabilitation outcomes.
- Possesses a strong grasp of modern MSK assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Exhibits warmth, credibility, and confidence in clinical leadership.
- Holds a Physiotherapy degree, a postgraduate qualification in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Has a minimum of five years clinical experience; exposure to leadership roles is highly advantageous.
- Experienced in private practice, rehabilitation, ACC, vocational rehabilitation, or community-based MSK services.
- Holds a full driver's license, as travel between regions is required.
