Job description
Role Overview
This position involves maintaining high cleanliness standards within the Kent Police Buildings, covering areas such as office spaces, toilets, showers, kitchen zones, and cell blocks (excluding foul cells).
Work Hours
Working schedule rotates biweekly: Week 1 is Monday through Friday; Week 2 includes Monday to Wednesday off on Thursday and Friday, then working Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning tasks adhering strictly to specified standards and scheduled timetables, including custody-related areas but excluding foul cells.
- Perform additional cleaning assignments as delegated by your supervisor.
- Maintain all cleaning tools and materials in a tidy and orderly condition.
- Keep confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the environment at all times.
- Follow all company policies and operating procedures without exception.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH regulations.
- Ensure proper handover of any unfinished tasks.

- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Proven experience working both individually and in a team environment.
- Understanding and knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

- Demonstrate flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as needed.
