Position Overview
We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to be stationed at our corporate office in Lewisville, TX. This leadership role involves overseeing our extensive portfolio of 58 branded hotels spanning full service, select service, and economy segments, along with 27 standalone Penny’s Diner restaurants.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across hotel and restaurant operations ensuring alignment with company objectives, brand standards, and ownership expectations
- Manage and mentor senior leaders including Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, General Managers, nurturing accountability, development, and high performance
- Drive operational excellence through analysis of key performance indicators such as Flowthrough, Gross Operating Profit, guest satisfaction, and labor costs; implement strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency
- Act as the chief liaison for ownership groups by delivering clear, data-backed updates on performance, capital projects, and strategies
- Cultivate and sustain strong, transparent relationships with ownership stakeholders focused on solutions
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with finance teams and property leaders
- Ensure strict compliance with brand standards, company policies, and regulatory mandates across the entire portfolio
- Lead multifaceted operational initiatives including renovations, rebranding, technology rollouts, and operational process improvements
- Effectively prioritize and manage diverse and competing demands within a rapid-paced environment demonstrating sound organizational and decision-making skills
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, revenue management, HR, and finance to bolster business performance and company standards
Success Metrics
- Achieve Green Balanced Scorecard or higher for financial performance across the portfolio
- Meet or surpass budgeted RevPAR Index and STR market performance benchmarks
- Ensure guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand averages with strong online reputation ratings
- Maintain operational efficiency through effective labor and cost management and consistent brand compliance
- Foster high employee engagement, retention, and leadership development for above-property management
- Deliver clear communication and meet or exceed expectations from ownership groups
- Lead successful execution of multi-property initiatives, renovations, and operational enhancements
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven achievement in managing full and select service hotel operations across multiple properties with strong leadership and operational training
- Experience functioning within regional or multi-property structures to elevate standards and performance
- Exceptional relational skills with corporate teams, property leaders, and ownership with strong communication and influence abilities
- Demonstrated balance of strategic leadership combined with hands-on operational execution
- Broad hotel operational experience including rooms, food & beverage, and supporting departments
- Solid track record in financial oversight, budgeting, and cost management
- Capability to build and develop teams through training, coaching, and leadership growth
- Experience working with multiple ownership entities; free standing restaurant experience is advantageous
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Hotel Administration is strongly preferred
- Industry recognition via awards, peer groups, commendations, or advanced training is a plus
