Role Overview
As a Caregiver, you will work directly with individual clients to deliver various non-medical support services, fostering strong relationships with elderly clients who prefer to continue living independently in their own homes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing companionship to clients.
- Performing light cooking and cleaning tasks.
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, and toileting needs.
- Helping with mobility and offering medication reminders.
- Transporting clients to appointments and running errands.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a CNA or HHA license is preferred; alternatively, applicants should have six months of full-time or twelve months of part-time experience caring for elderly or chronically ill individuals.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation; if client transport is involved, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance are mandatory.
- Current Tuberculosis (TB) test documentation is required.
- Physical capability to perform care duties.
- Maturity, reliability, punctuality, and a caring disposition are expected.
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check required by state regulations.
