The bakery department is well-known for its fresh Artisan breads, pastries, cookies, and muffins. As a Cake Decorator, you contribute by creating personalized bakery products, assisting customers with party planning, and showcasing new offerings.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers politely and assisting with their bakery needs.
• Ice, finish, personalize, and creatively decorate specialty bakery products.
• Maintain high standards for department presentation and operations including cleanliness, sanitation, inventory control, product rotation, ordering, product quality, variety standards, signage, seasonal displays, and backroom procedures.
• Ensure only the highest quality bakery products are available to customers.
• Monitor adherence to variety standards and ensure full compliance with advertised item displays.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Prior cake decorating experience is advantageous.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Commitment to customer service excellence.
• Works responsibly and safely.
• Flexibility to work various hours including evenings and weekends; availability for Sunday scheduling is encouraged.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
• Constant hand coordination, reaching, and gripping.
• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Occasionally lift or carry items weighing 10-45 pounds including waist and low-level lifts.
• Occasionally climb stairs or step ladders, squat, push, or pull.
