About the Role
Two Sigma is a foremost quantitative investment management and trading firm, leveraging advanced technology, AI, data science, and quantitative research combined with rigorous human analysis to capitalize on market opportunities and generate alpha for investors. Our team, consisting of engineers, quantitative researchers, and data scientists, explores beyond conventional methods to create innovative solutions for complex economic challenges. Central to our work are data inputs and machine learning techniques, transforming raw data and algorithms into actionable signals that fuel investor returns. The Feature & Learner Strategy team is responsible for setting firm-wide strategy and governance, alongside developing tools and workflows to manage these research assets effectively, aiming to maximize their use and monetization.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the growth and adoption of the feature and technique ecosystem in collaboration with Modeling and Engineering teams, enhancing the operational, strategic, and governance frameworks that support it.
- Expand firm-wide telemetry capabilities and translate data analysis into informed decisions and strategic communication for diverse stakeholders across the company.
- Develop strategies to further integrate features and techniques with artificial intelligence advancements, working closely with Modeling and Engineering departments.
- Identify opportunities, define scopes, and implement new functionalities within the feature and technique ecosystem.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree from a prestigious institution in a quantitative discipline such as statistics or applied mathematics, or in social sciences with substantial quantitative elements.
- Between two to five years of professional experience in strategic or operational roles like management consulting, internal strategy, corporate development, or investment banking.
- Proficient in Python and competent in data science methodologies.
- Proven ability to achieve significant business outcomes within assigned areas.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and lead effectively.
- A collaborative and entrepreneurial approach.
- Interest in time series modeling and/or financial markets is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000 annually, with potential eligibility for additional compensation forms such as discretionary bonuses, health and dental plans, wellness benefits, and 401(k) contributions. Bonuses may represent a substantial portion of total pay.
