Role Overview
This position offers a unique chance to become a key contributor in a rapidly expanding business within a competitive market environment. The primary responsibility is to establish and cultivate relationships with retail partners throughout the region, facilitating their integration into the Deliveroo platform. The role involves assisting new partners with successful launches and driving a superior value proposition for customers in a dynamic segment of the business, reporting directly to the SMB Team Lead for Restaurants.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and secure new retail partners within the assigned territory by becoming deeply knowledgeable about relevant categories and emerging partners, thereby maintaining a robust pipeline for new business opportunities.
- Engage with retail partners through various channels such as in-person visits, emails, telephone conversations, and social media to effectively present Deliveroo's technological capabilities and value offerings.
- Manage the partner onboarding process, ensuring it is expedited, efficient, and seamless.
- Drive partner success metrics, particularly within the initial eight weeks following contract signing.
- Participate in relevant meetups and events to enhance business development opportunities.
Performance Metrics
- Number of new partners successfully signed each month aligned with target lists.
- Performance outcomes of newly signed partners during the first three months.
Required Experience and Skills
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in sales roles.
- Prior exposure to the restaurant industry is advantageous.
- Proven track record in sales, demonstrating abilities in prospecting, pitching, and deal closure.
- Skilled negotiator capable of formulating mutually beneficial agreements for both partners and Deliveroo.
- Strong commercial insight into delivery economics from both the retail partner's and Deliveroo's perspectives.
- Ability to confidently showcase product expertise and industry knowledge to clients.
- Self-driven with a determined approach to meeting challenging objectives.
- Interest in food and retail sectors.
- Highly motivated and persistent in nature.
