Overview
CORMAC is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to become part of our energetic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Agile development, skill in formulating user stories, and outstanding communication capabilities. This position requires working closely with multiple teams to transform complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements. The role includes involvement in iteration planning, backlog management, testing support, operational assistance, and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and Agile teams to comprehend business objectives and convert them into actionable user stories and features.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, system, and functional requirements leveraging Agile methodologies.
- Work together with Product Owners to refine and prioritize backlogs and participate in Program Increment (PI) planning.
- Create clear user stories with defined acceptance criteria based on business demands.
- Maintain and refine requirements for upcoming development sprints.
- Lead backlog grooming sessions and clarify acceptance criteria with cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with developers and testers to ensure precise translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure consistency between business goals and solution implementations.
- Collaborate with QA teams to aid in test case creation and validate business requirements.
- Manage production support tickets, communicate updates with user support teams, and liaise with technical teams for resolutions.
- Organize workshops, interviews, and discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements and build consensus.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and confirm delivered features meet business expectations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- More than 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile environments.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust (Tier 1) Security Clearance.
- Experience in government or healthcare sectors such as Medicare, Medicaid, VA, or CMS.
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe.
- Skilled in developing epics, features, and user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a talent for simplifying complex concepts.
- Experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Excel for managing backlogs and requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Previous roles in government or healthcare, including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, CMS environments.
- Exposure to CMS Survey & Certification support.
- Agile and SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Practitioner, Agilist, Product Owner/Manager).
- Familiarity with UI/UX design utilities (Figma, Balsamiq), process mapping software (Lucid, Visio), and data querying tools (SQL, DBeaver).
