What you will do

  • Set up and run industrial bookbinding and bindery machines used for cutting, collating, folding, stitching, and stamping.
  • Fine-tune equipment so production runs efficiently and output quality remains high.
  • Read and interpret job orders to understand required quantities and production timelines.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as needed.

What the role requires

This position requires candidates who can work physically demanding shifts and who are comfortable with varied schedules, including nights, evenings, days, and overtime. There is a strong chance the schedule will be nights, specifically a 3 nights on / 4 nights off pattern. A 7.5% premium is paid for night work.

Applicants must be legally allowed to work in Canada, speak/read/write English fluently, and be able to obtain and keep Government of Canada Secret security clearance at Level II in a timely manner. The work involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting or lowering items up to 75 lbs.

Experience and equipment exposure

Candidates need at least 3 years of relevant bindery experience.
