Role overview
This position supports the bar team by keeping service running efficiently and making sure bartenders have what they need to serve members and guests quickly and to a high standard. The role also acts as a link between the bar and the floor by carrying drinks to tables and helping create a smooth guest experience.
What you will do
- Move drinks promptly from the bar to the correct table or restaurant area.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised bar and service environment.
- Take responsibility for an assigned section and provide service within it.
- Build positive relationships with members so service feels personal and attentive.
- Polish glassware so it is ready for use.
- Support bartenders by replenishing ingredients, running drinks and collecting items from storage or the cellar.
- Carry out opening and closing tasks, including setting up and dismantling stations.
- Handle service equipment carefully and return it to the correct place.
- Keep the work area spotless throughout service.
- Attend team meetings and tastings to stay updated on menu changes and daily specials.
What the employer is looking for
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of bar operations, hygiene expectations and stock rotation.
- A friendly, welcoming and service-focused attitude with respect for both colleagues and guests.
- Ability to show competence in line with the training schedule and Club School requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Comfort working both as part of a team and independently, while following direction when needed.
