Job description

Overview

This role goes beyond traditional Sales Development Representative duties by giving you ownership of attracting and confirming attendance from senior executives—CIOs, CISOs, CFOs, and peers—to Factor's executive events across Australia, Singapore, and the Middle East. You will design and execute outreach campaigns, handle outbound communications, and be present at the events to engage with attendees directly.

About Factor

Factor hosts high-level executive gatherings such as CIO Day, Security Day, Data+AI Day, CTO Day, CFO Day, and CXO Afterhours, providing a platform for senior technology and business leaders to connect. The company also develops Panelist, an event networking SaaS product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive registration and attendance targets for assigned executive events.
  • Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage senior executives, confirm their participation, and manage RSVPs.
  • Create and schedule marketing campaigns independently—building emails, lists, and segmentation without support from a dedicated marketing team.
  • Maintain and organize the outreach database including segmentation, cleaning, deduplication, and ensuring CRM accuracy.
  • Analyze metrics such as connect and open rates, registrations, and show rates, adapting strategies based on data feedback.
  • Manage on-site responsibilities during events, coordinating delegates and personally greeting executives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and events teams to synchronize outreach, marketing activities, and delegate objectives.

Important Role Details

  • This is a multifaceted position combining marketing tasks and outbound calling, approximately split evenly each week.
  • No dedicated marketing team will provide support; you will own campaign creation and data management.
  • The role does not follow a conventional sales ladder; career progression lies in areas such as demand generation, event management, or marketing leadership.
  • In-person attendance at events, including evening dinners, is required and often runs past typical office hours.
  • Occasional regional travel to Sydney, Singapore, and the Middle East will be necessary.
  • The working environment is dynamic and requires adaptability and the ability to manage shifting priorities.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in outbound roles such as SDR, BDR, or B2B marketing with a focus on outbound campaigns.
  • Proven track record managing metrics like meeting bookings, lead generation, registration, or pipeline targets.
  • Comfortable conducting cold calls to senior executives and skillful in securing brief engagements.
  • Highly proficient with campaign tools and data handling—building sends, cleaning exports, and interpreting funnel analytics without assistance.
  • Open to feedback, coachable, humble, and values continuous learning over ego.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organised, committed to accuracy in communications and data management.
  • Dependable under tight deadlines, able to complete tasks proactively.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

  • Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation software such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or Campaign Monitor.
  • Experience in B2B events, agency work, or technology/SaaS sectors.
  • History of marketing or selling to C-suite audiences.
  • Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets and managing complex lists.

Expected Milestones

  • Within 30 days: Gain familiarity with events, audience, and tools; confidently initiate outbound calls; independently manage campaigns and lists.
  • Within 60 days: Fully manage the funnel for assigned events including campaigns, outbound efforts, and follow-up; demonstrate measurable registration growth.
  • Within 90 days: Take full accountability for registration and attendance metrics; act as a reliable team member on-event floors; proactively suggest improvements.

Benefits and Opportunities

  • Direct interaction with senior executives from leading regional companies at live events.
  • Immediate ownership and visible impact from day one.
  • Exposure to a growing SaaS platform alongside live events.
  • Career path possibilities in demand generation, event management, or broader marketing leadership roles.
  • Hybrid work model balancing office presence and remote flexibility.
  • Annual mental health days to promote wellbeing.
  • Performance-driven incentives aligned with company objectives.
