Associate - Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Manager

Job Overview

The role involves comprehensive management of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program, focusing primarily on Apple iPad Mobile Device Management (MDM) implementation and ensuring smooth ongoing operations, monitoring, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the EFB project, specifically managing the iPad MDM system deployment and its routine functioning, including thorough monitoring and maintenance of records.
• Manage the loading of performance-related and operational documentation onto EFB devices to ensure up-to-date information availability.
• Support Flight Operations Management by facilitating all necessary approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) concerning EFB and related initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors to acquire essential hardware and software to support the EFB program's requirements effectively.
• Administer and manage document loads for both installed and portable EFB devices within operational parameters.
• Manage software configurations on EFB devices, guaranteeing only authorized applications are installed and operational.
• Identify and address security vulnerabilities in EFB devices, ensuring strict compliance with established security protocols.
• Establish and maintain an Operational Documentation System for digital libraries aimed at optimizing processes for enhanced operational efficiency.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during EFB software upgrades, ensuring applications and databases meet stipulated requirements and quality standards.
• Carry out software installations, upgrades, and necessary updates to maintain system effectiveness and functionality.
