Assistant Warehouse Supervisor – STSTO & Inventory Control

Job Overview

The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor at Vertiv's Pune facility is responsible for overseeing the effective management of inter-plant stock transfers (STSTO), timely processing of Goods Acceptance Receipts (GAR), maintaining precise inventory records, and ensuring thorough documentation. This position ensures stock accuracy, completes monthly reconciliation, and complies with company and audit standards.

Primary Duties

• Manage and execute inter-plant stock transfers promptly, including coordination to ensure smooth material movement and closing pending Stock Transfer Orders within set deadlines.
• Ensure all incoming STSTO goods have GAR posted on the same day to prevent receipt posting delays and closely monitor pending GAR transactions.
• Carry out monthly reconciliation of STSTO versus GAR, identifying discrepancies such as pending GARs, quantity variations, and physical versus system stock differences; compile reports highlighting these for management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP systems, conduct cycle counts, assist in periodic audits, and investigate stock mismatches.
• Keep comprehensive documentation for STSTO, GAR, and stock movements to meet audit and compliance requirements while adhering to SOPs and quality protocols.
• Support warehouse operations including material handling, storage, bin management, adherence to FIFO and 5S standards, and safeguarding critical materials from damage or loss.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, QA, Purchasing, Dispatch, and other warehouses; engage in root cause analysis for operational challenges.

Key Performance Metrics

• Complete GAR postings on the day of receipt at 100% rate.
• Resolve STSO transactions within 24 hours.
• Achieve 100% accuracy in monthly reconciliations and inventory records.
• Attain full compliance in audit reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related disciplines.
• 2 to 5 years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in manufacturing environments.

Skills and Competencies

• In-depth understanding of STSO processes and inter-plant logistics.
• Proficient with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
