Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary operational leader onsite during events when the Executive Producer is absent.
- Manage seamless delivery of events, concerts, and experiential activations, ensuring coordination among departments, vendors, venue staff, and staffing teams.
- Closely monitor event progression, predict and resolve potential operational issues proactively.
- Maintain strict adherence to timelines and event standards across all areas of operation.
- Handle logistics including staffing schedules, supply management, radio communications, credential distribution, and on-site staff movements.
- Collaborate effectively with department heads, providing calm and solution-focused leadership throughout live event operations.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication, serving as the central point of contact connecting event managers, venue personnel, vendors, and leadership.
- Manage vendor and venue relationships, ensuring their compliance with operational requirements and event quality standards.
- Support staffing processes: recruitment coordination, onboarding, training implementation focused on operational procedures, guest interaction, brand representation, and safety protocols.
- Drive staffing readiness through pre-event communications and preparation initiatives, continually refining staffing plans and training materials.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in live event, festival, experiential, or venue operations.
- Demonstrated ability leading onsite event operations teams and managing cross-functional coordination.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and multitasking capabilities.
- Proven success managing numerous operational priorities simultaneously and solving problems under live-event pressures.
- Experience liaising and working effectively with vendors, venues, and operational partners.
- Capability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This is a seasonal full-time position, beginning approximately September 1 and ending around January 31, with possible extension to a permanent role.
- During events, work is onsite and may include previewing and post-event activities; pre-production work may be completed remotely or in the office.
- Schedule demands include evenings, weekends, and extended hours for installations, rehearsals, event days, and teardown.
- Work locations include venue sites, outdoor settings, and active production or construction environments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay rate is $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
