Role Summary and Responsibilities
The organization seeks a seasoned and goal-driven Sales Manager to spearhead sales activities and business expansion for gear motors, gearboxes, and power transmission products targeting industrial and manufacturing clientele. The role encompasses generating new business, managing key client accounts, fostering strong customer relations, analyzing application needs, and meeting sales and profitability targets.
- Formulate and implement sales plans for gear motors, gearboxes, and associated power transmission items.
- Identify and cultivate new industrial and manufacturing sector customers.
- Oversee existing accounts to boost repeat business and cross-selling opportunities.
- Assess customer applications to recommend appropriate gearboxes and gear motors.
- Drive inquiry generation via customer visits, channel partnerships, referrals, events, and market development initiatives.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and finalize orders.
- Build strategic alliances with OEMs, machine builders, system integrators, distributors, and end users.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, procurement, and service to fulfill customer needs promptly.
- Monitor inquiries, quotations, order progress, sales pipelines, and receivables.
- Conduct regular market research to track competitor activity, pricing trends, emerging applications, and uncover business prospects.
- Manage distributors and dealers where relevant.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Maintain precise CRM data and sales reporting; provide consistent updates to management.
- Address customer grievances and collaborate with technical and service teams for timely resolution.
- Participate actively in exhibitions, technical seminars, client meetings, and other sales development forums.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and possess experience in B2B sales specifically within motors and gearbox product lines.
