Assistant Auditor

Role overview

This position supports forensic and internal audit work in a telecom environment, with a focus on investigating reported concerns, organizing audit work, and preparing clear closure documentation for senior review. The role sits in Dubai and is intended for someone who can work closely with stakeholders, manage sensitive matters professionally, and contribute to continuous improvement in audit practices.

Key accountabilities

• Carry out forensic audit work assigned by the Senior/Director of Forensic Audit, including matters referred by the designated whistleblowing officer.
• Rank and manage forensic cases according to the forensic criteria and workload direction provided by the Director of Forensic Audit.
• Investigate issues in a professional and timely way using information received through whistleblowing channels, management referrals, or other matters identified through the forensic methodology.
• Prepare audit plans that define the objective, scope, and approach for each assignment.
• Track agreed corrective actions with the relevant business owners to confirm that remedial steps are implemented properly for investigated cases.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.
• Keep up to date with developments in internal audit, especially forensic audit, along with relevant changes in business matters, tools, and techniques that affect du.
• Support professional growth and knowledge sharing by strengthening personal capabilities, working collaboratively, and sharing information, ideas, and experience with the team.
• Prepare memos, closure reports, and summary presentations for executive management through the Director of Forensic Audit.

Qualifications

The role calls for a Diploma in Accounting or a Bachelor’s degree in System Security & Forensics, Networking, or IT Security. Additional audit-related qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, or CFE will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of experience in internal audit, ideally with exposure to telecom audit and forensic audit work.
