Analyst - Virtual Assets Intelligence

About the Role and Organization

Exclusive for UAE Nationals, this Analyst position within the Virtual Assets Intelligence section is under the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), the key regulator for banking and insurance sectors in the UAE. CBUAE aims to enhance the country's monetary management and financial stability, protect consumers, and promote innovation in financial technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and compile data on virtual asset transactions to detect suspicious activities and red flags through preliminary analysis.
• Investigate Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) related to virtual assets by utilizing blockchain tracing tools, open-source intelligence, and foundational blockchain investigation techniques.
• Assist senior team members by creating data visualizations, summaries, and assembling evidence dossiers to support case investigations.
• Prepare routine intelligence reports and ensure case documentation is updated and maintained accurately under supervision.
• Keep the team’s records, case management systems, and knowledge repositories current to guarantee accurate and auditable information flow.
• Perform additional duties as assigned beyond the defined scope of responsibilities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or closely related disciplines.
• Preferred possession of professional certifications such as CAMS, blockchain analysis, or cybersecurity credentials.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in compliance roles with a focus on virtual asset investigations.
