About the Role
Join a well-funded early-stage AI startup based in Munich, supported by Y Combinator, as an AI / LLM Engineer. This role offers the chance to be part of a small, highly skilled engineering team tasked with creating the next wave of AI-empowered enterprise software. You'll gain significant influence over the product design, architectural decisions, and technological direction from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production-ready large language model (LLM) applications.
- Create AI agents and design agentic workflows to enhance functionality.
- Work on retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems for improved AI outputs.
- Build AI-driven product features that are actively used by customers.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs to support AI infrastructure.
- Lead the AI infrastructure development from experimental prototypes through to full production deployment.
Candidate Profile
- Proficient Python programmer with strong engineering background.
- Practical experience deploying production AI solutions that utilize large language models.
- Familiarity with technologies such as RAG, LangChain or LangGraph, MCP, OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, vector databases, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Additional Advantages

Additional Information
This is an on-site role located in Munich, Germany. Candidates must currently reside in Munich or be willing to relocate to the area.
