Role Summary

We are seeking a bilingual candidate who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to join our expanding department. This position involves supporting branch compliance with customs and governmental regulations related to air export operations.

Key Duties

• Prepare and submit various types of customs shipping permit declarations accurately.
• Handle applications for Ordinary and Preferential Certificates of Origin.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure documentation is complete and compliant with due timelines, adhering to pre-customs entry checklists, Asia Customs SOPs, and pre-alert databases.
• Respond promptly to customs inquiries and secure necessary permit approvals.
• Monitor and guarantee timely submission of Cargo Manifest Declarations for imports and exports to Singapore Customs.
• Maintain organized filing and prepare billing invoices ensuring data accuracy and prompt billing to clients.
• Generate required reports for customers or other stakeholders as needed.
• Update Asia Customs Standard Operating Procedures to incorporate customers’ specifications and expectations.
• Maintain strict adherence to Expeditors’ policies and compliance requirements.
• Oversee branch-specific procedures relating to customs entry declarations.
• Ensure Key Performance Indicators align with customer expectations and Singapore Customs and Competent Authorities regulations.
• Conduct internal audits for customs filing processes.

Requirements

• Completion of minimum tertiary education with 3 to 5 years of relevant air freight operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and other computer software applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written.
• In-depth knowledge of Singapore Customs rules and regulations, with the ability to pass the Singapore Customs test.
• Familiarity with related Competent Authorities’ regulations.
• Experienced in using Singapore Customs TradeNet system and internal customs systems for declaring import/export entries.
• Capability to prepare various customs entry declarations and permit types.
