Job description

Overview

TEKNIKOZ invites applications for the role of Administrator specializing in AVEVA E3D based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Candidates should have at least three years of experience managing and supporting AVEVA E3D environments, projects, and related databases.

Key Duties

  • Oversee and support AVEVA E3D software environments, including projects, databases, and engineering tools.
  • Configure and sustain E3D project frameworks, databases, modules, and user preferences.
  • Handle management of users, roles, permissions, and security protocols within E3D systems.
  • Assist with project initialization tasks such as MDBs, databases, catalogues, specifications, and structural setup.
  • Maintain E3D project databases, templates, system properties, and configurations.
  • Manage engineering data, referencing models, libraries, and ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Facilitate integration and interoperability between E3D and other engineering or design applications.
  • Track system performance issues and troubleshoot software or user challenges.
  • Deliver technical help to designers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct backups, restores, database upkeep, and system health evaluations.
  • Support upgrading software, applying patches, migrations, and deployment operations.
  • Preserve project standards, naming rules, data permissions, and integrity assurance.
  • Liaise with IT units and AVEVA vendor support for complex problems.
  • Develop administration manuals, technical guides, and user support documentation.

Required Expertise

  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in managing AVEVA E3D environments.
  • In-depth understanding of AVEVA E3D/Everything3D setup and project administration.
  • Competence in setting up E3D projects including databases, MDBs, catalogues, specifications, and layouts.
  • Proficiency in user access control and management within E3D.
  • Knowledge of 3D plant design methodologies and engineering workflows.
  • Experience in diagnosing issues with E3D software, databases, and connectivity.
  • Familiarity with engineering data handling and sustaining project standards.
  • Basic grasp of Windows Server operations, networking fundamentals, database structures, and system management.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Effective communication and coordination capabilities across teams.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Prior experience supporting engineering projects in oil & gas, EPC, chemical, power, or process plants.
  • Knowledge of AVEVA PDMS, Diagrams, or other engineering modules.
  • Skills in E3D customization, scripting, or automation considered a plus.
  • Exposure to migrating project data and managing E3D software upgrades.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
