Job Overview

The role entails managing comprehensive accounting functions including record keeping, reporting, budgeting, and VAT compliance, specifically tailored for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain financial records, journals, and general ledger accounts.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements alongside management reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable workflows.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow effectively.
• Handle processing of invoices, payments, receipts, and expense reports.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Support both internal and external audits through complete financial documentation.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and financial control procedures.
• Work collaboratively with operations, procurement, and management teams on finance-related issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related disciplines is required.
• Previous experience in hospitality sectors such as hotels, restaurants, or tourism is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of financial reporting, bookkeeping, VAT, and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency with accounting software including Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, or other ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Prior working experience with UAE accounting standards is an advantage.
