Account Executive (Accounting)

About the Role

We are seeking an Account Executive specialized in accounting to join Dorex Knitwears. This critical position supports the financial operations by managing daily bookkeeping, tracking raw material costs, generating invoices for bulk corporate clients, and reconciling retail e-commerce sales transactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain precise financial records and ledgers using accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Tally.
• Handle accounts receivable by creating and dispatching invoices to corporate clients, event organizers, and wholesale buyers, and ensuring payments are collected promptly.
• Manage accounts payable, verifying and processing payments to suppliers of raw materials like fabric, ink, and machinery maintenance services.
• Reconcile e-commerce sales made through Shopify or websites with payment gateways such as PayPal and Stripe, as well as bank statements.
• Monitor and analyze the Cost of Goods Sold, including expenditures for fabric, printing labor, and shipping to maintain profit margins.
• Assist in tax compliance by preparing and filing monthly or quarterly taxes (GST/VAT/Sales Tax) and support payroll processing tasks.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries, for management evaluation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Between 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or garment manufacturing sectors.
• Proficient use of accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail to identify inconsistencies in bulk orders, shipping costs, and vendor billing.
• Excellent communication abilities for effective engagement with corporate clients concerning payment follow-ups.
