About the Role

We are producing a captivating new preschool animated series launching this fall, featuring engaging stories, memorable characters, and unique music created with a prominent content creator. To bring this imaginative world to life, we are growing our animation team with experienced 2D animators.

Key Responsibilities

• Create lively, expressive 2D character animations using Toon Boom Harmony, based on storyboards and production-ready rigs.
• Produce animations that feature strong character acting, clear poses, and carefully timed movements tailored for a young audience.
• Revise animation sequences to incorporate feedback from directors, supervisors, and leads.
• Handle animation tasks ranging from simple to moderately complex.
• Work closely with production leadership and team members, fostering problem-solving and sharing helpful insights.
• Participate actively in daily reviews, creative discussions, and team improvement sessions.
• Follow pipeline workflows and technical specifications to ensure smooth integration into the project.
• Consistently maintain high quality across animations while meeting deadlines.
• Manage time efficiently in coordination with production schedules and communicate progress and challenges to the team.

Required Qualifications

• Proven production experience as a 2D animator or in a related animation role.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating extensive work and skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Toon Boom Harmony software.
• Solid grasp of traditional 2D animation principles and techniques.
• Expertise in 2D cut-out animation workflows.
• Highly polished animation skills with effective character acting that includes comedic timing, nuanced expressions, and dynamic motion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to promote collaboration, exchange feedback, and convey ideas clearly.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from CAD 1300 to 1500 per week, dependent on qualifications and experience factors including education and skills.
