About the Internship
This remote internship offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the founders of a London-based book discovery service. The role involves developing original visual ideas aligned with brand direction and creating illustrations and graphics for digital, print, and marketing materials. You'll translate stories and emotions into engaging artworks while maintaining a consistent brand aesthetic. The internship encourages exploring various illustration styles and designing print-ready assets for merchandise and packaging. The position also involves working closely with marketing, product, and community teams to implement creative campaigns and refining design work based on feedback.

Requirements and Skills
- Strong skills in illustration and graphic design with a creative approach to storytelling.
- A portfolio demonstrating original design and illustration work.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, Procreate, or related tools.
- Good grasp of typography, color theory, composition, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to adapt illustration styles whilst maintaining brand consistency.
- Creative problem-solving and independent concept development from briefs.
- Effective organization and time management to handle multiple projects.
- Proactive attitude, responsiveness to feedback, and eagerness to learn collaboratively.
- A passion for books and storytelling is advantageous.
- Bonus points for: Loving books from childhood, experience creating merchandise or print-ready designs, and trend research abilities.
