About the Internship
This internship offers an opportunity to work with Journal Lock, an iOS app featuring Sprout, a charming green mascot that restricts access to addictive apps until users jot down journal entries — making journaling impactful. Operated by a small indie studio, the marketing approach is highly entertainment-oriented, using memes, mascot skits, slideshows, and short video edits rather than conventional corporate demos. Interns will manage a pre-established content engine, including templates, mascot assets, video pipelines, and format guidelines. The role emphasizes high volume output, engaging hooks, and tasteful creative execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate a new Instagram account alongside a YouTube Shorts channel — including initiation, daily content posting, and fostering community interaction.
- Create between 3 to 4 short videos daily utilizing provided templates, mascot materials, and weekly content briefs using CapCut or similar video editing tools.
- Tailor trending short-video formats from platforms like Reels and Shorts to align with themes related to journaling, screen time, and phone addiction.
- Develop over 10 engaging hook variations weekly, considering that the initial 3 seconds of content are crucial.
- Maintain detailed tracking of daily posts in a shared metrics document capturing links, formats, hooks, and engagement statistics such as 24-hour and 7-day views, saves, and profile visits.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be willing and able to work remotely (work-from-home setup).
- Available to commence the internship anytime between July 13, 2026, and August 17, 2026.
- Committed to a full internship tenure of 3 months.
- Possess relevant skills and interests associated with video content creation and social media engagement.
- Must own a smartphone and demonstrate active, up-to-date engagement with recent trending formats on Reels and Shorts (can identify trends from the last 30 days).
Perks and Compensation
- A monthly stipend total of ₹20,000, comprising a fixed ₹10,000 plus a performance-based bonus up to ₹10,000, with bonus terms disclosed during offer stage.
