About the Role

EveryWatch is looking for a perceptive and insightful journalist to collaborate closely with the CEO on high-level communications and content creation. This position involves translating the CEO's vision, expertise, and voice into engaging materials across multiple platforms such as LinkedIn, speeches, opinion pieces, and other leadership channels.

The successful candidate will act as a strategist, editor, and proxy for the CEO, quickly grasping complex ideas and tailoring messages to resonate with various audiences. This role requires fluency in the luxury watch sector and the ability to adapt the communication tone to suit different platforms, helping to establish the CEO's presence as a respected authority in the realms of luxury, watches, data, collecting, culture, and markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and communications team to accurately capture his ideas, perspectives, and tone through various input forms including interviews and notes.
• Produce executive thought leadership content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Substack, newsletters, contributed articles, and speeches targeting public audiences.
• Convert intricate market insights about watches, luxury, collecting patterns, data analytics, and cultural or economic trends into clear and compelling narratives.
• Adapt the CEO’s messaging and tone to engage diverse audiences including collectors, luxury industry figures, investors, media professionals, and the broader business sector.
• Maintain a consistent editorial schedule with recurring themes, content formats, article concepts, and timely insights.
• Draft and refine authentic, polished content that meets rigorous editorial standards.
• Recognize chances to leverage EveryWatch's data, market trends, and company news into impactful thought leadership.
• Coordinate with marketing, communications, and leadership to ensure content aligns with broader brand, public relations, and business objectives.
• Support the development of a strong, distinct point of view in all executive communications.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 5 to 7 years of professional experience relevant to executive communication or journalism.
• Exemplary skills in writing, editing, and storytelling, particularly experience crafting content for senior leaders like CEOs and founders.
• Proven ability to authentically capture and convey another person's voice without losing distinctiveness.
• Sound editorial judgment to identify ideas that are timely, engaging, credible, and publishable.
• Comfortable handling specialized, complex subject matter and transforming it to appeal to both experts and general readers.
• Interest in or background knowledge of luxury goods, watches, collecting, marketplaces, data analysis, finance, culture, or consumer behaviors.
• Highly organized and responsive, able to work directly with a busy executive efficiently.
• Excellent interviewing and listening skills, with talent for converting discussions into well-crafted written pieces.
• A collaborative attitude, receptive to revision and feedback with humility.
