Job Overview
This position, reporting directly to the Vineyard Manager, places you at the heart of the vineyard where the process of crafting award-winning wines begins. The primary responsibilities involve operating machinery and maintaining vineyard health to ensure high-quality grape production year after year.
Key Duties
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including using appropriate personal protective equipment and timely incident reporting.
- Supervise seasonal workforce during various vineyard activities.
- Perform vineyard care tasks such as mulching, spraying, trimming, plucking, and general maintenance of vines.
- Maintain trellis systems and irrigation infrastructure.
- Participate actively in harvesting operations.
Candidate Profile
- Motivated individuals eager to enter the wine industry with opportunities for rapid career growth.
- Strong team player exhibiting a proactive and positive approach.
- Prior experience in vineyard work or similar fields is advantageous but not mandatory; training including Growsafe certification and first aid is provided.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts during peak seasons involving harvesting, spraying, and frost protection.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
