Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations for the UK will play a pivotal role in establishing the FORTÉ Europe presence. This leader will spearhead the organic development of the London area office while harmonizing operations across European Regional Business Units. Key responsibilities include formulating and implementing the annual business plan, recruiting and managing the London team, and supervising regional operations and key functions such as PMO, Service Delivery, and Sales Enablement.
Responsibilities and Leadership
This position entails creating standardized practices, promoting resource sharing and operational consistency across Europe, and ensuring aligned collaboration with IT and Finance to meet in-country compliance and deliver cohesive customer experiences. The VP will also maintain a dotted line on Regional Operations and technical leadership across countries.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in executive business and financial planning supporting profitable, scalable units with measurable goals.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing business units or regions to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership development background consistent with FORTÉ's culture and values.
- Formal leadership training aligning with company culture.
- Experience in Managed Services leadership with deep understanding of IT trends shaping the AV industry.
- Proficiency in computer systems and financial budgeting.
- Hands-on experience in IT deployments and service management.
- Capability to empower field leaders within company policies and budgets.
- Thorough use of ERP systems for managing business from sales inquiry to revenue collection.
- Strong financial and technical literacy, able to interpret complex reports, contracts, and regulations.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentation.
- Effective communication skills for leading presentations and responding to diverse stakeholders.
- Mathematical skills to calculate financials like discounts, interest, commissions, areas, and volumes.
- Comfortable using videoconferencing and presentation tools for group or individual sessions.
