Role Overview
As an Analyst or Associate, you will engage deeply in private company investments, requiring strong initiative and quantitative proficiency. Your contributions will include evaluating prospective investments, monitoring ongoing portfolio performance, and interacting regularly with senior management and co-investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline of inbound lead opportunities from co-investors, entrepreneurs, and internal sources, alongside generating outbound prospects through research, industry events, and networking.
- Create and deliver investment memos and pitch materials for new and follow-up investments using fundamental analysis and market research.
- Conduct financial analyses such as discounted cash flow, comparative public and private company valuations, and transaction reviews.
- Assist in deal structure assessments and term sheet evaluations.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to support corporate strategy development, exploration of mergers and acquisitions, new business evaluations, and other projects.
- Continuously track portfolio investments via regular valuations, capital structure, waterfall analyses, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct industry research, staying current on trends and producing analytical reports for the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Between one to four years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, or private equity; level of analyst or associate assigned accordingly.
- Preferred additional background in investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy, or related finance roles.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with valuation modeling techniques—LBOs, liquidation waterfalls, capital tables, DCF—and advanced skills in Excel.
- A strong enthusiasm for investment analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, with insatiable curiosity about business models and revenue generation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, urgent approach to work.
- Interest in fintech investment sectors, including cryptocurrency, trading platforms, data-driven businesses, and technology firms.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a base salary between 130000 and 160000 USD annually, dependent on experience and qualifications, along with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
