Role Summary

As a University Recruiter at SpaceX, you will be instrumental in creating and sustaining a robust talent pipeline by attracting top-tier engineering, manufacturing, and technical students from universities across the United States. You will often serve as the initial point of contact between potential candidates and SpaceX, representing the company with enthusiasm, professionalism, and pride. While collaboration is essential, a significant degree of independence and initiative to drive tasks to completion is expected in this role.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with numerous intern candidates and hiring managers to transition interns into full-time positions.
• Organize and participate in outreach events at leading universities.
• Screen applications from a growing pool of qualified candidates responding to SpaceX job postings.
• Proactively source potential candidates, including those not currently seeking new opportunities.
• Communicate with client groups to discuss screened candidates and provide recommendations for interviews.
• Manage the hiring offer process once candidates have been approved.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least one year of recruiting experience; or associate degree with two or more years of experience; or a minimum of three years of professional recruiting experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Demonstrated success in large-scale university recruitment programs.
• Experience handling high-volume recruitment processes.
• Proficiency in planning and coordinating recruitment events.
• Proven ability to differentiate between top-tier candidates within their disciplines.
• Expertise in unconventional recruitment strategies such as cold calling, hosting specialized networking events, identifying industry experts, and executing targeted sourcing campaigns.
• Comfort interfacing directly with senior hiring managers including directors and VPs of technical departments.
• Strong relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring managers.

Additional Requirements

• This position requires approximately 30% travel.
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
• This role is based on-site at Hawthorne, California; remote work is not an option.

ITAR Eligibility

• Candidates must meet U.S. Government export regulations, being either a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for authorization from the U.S. Department of State.
