About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UK Payroll Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Cardiff, UK. This permanent position offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to engage closely with clients and service providers to ensure compliance and operational excellence in payroll services. The role is instrumental in building strong stakeholder relationships and contributing to continuous improvement within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vendor relationships with onshore clients and service providers.
- Comprehend and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure targets are consistently met.
- Serve as the go-to expert for all UK Payroll-related queries and challenges.
- Enforce adherence to payroll policies and procedures to maintain zero non-compliance across engagements.
- Consistently meet and uphold service-level commitments.
- Improve quality results by following and enhancing existing standards and protocols.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to distributed and offshore team members.
Qualifications and Experience
- Comprehensive end-to-end knowledge of UK Payroll processes.
- Proficient in handling UK Year Start/End activities along with managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and User Verification Testing (UVT) events.
- Experienced in guiding and mentoring offshore teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex payroll issues.
- Demonstrated capability as a process improvement champion.
- Thorough understanding of UK payroll statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Office 365 tools and iTrent payroll software.
